Overview
This FREE half-day event for Creative and Cultural Industries will outline: how the Arts Council operates, its work, with particular emphasis in the Eastern region and the policies it has for each artform, which will outline how it supports, through different funding streams, artists and arts organisations and develop audiences and participants. There will be a brief explanation of current changes happening in the Arts Council.
Prerequisites
This event is for sole traders or anyone working in a Creative and Cultural Industries company.

4. Visual Arts Projects in the East
5. Grants for the Arts
6. Changes to the Arts Council
There will also be plenty of time for questions and answers. A FREE sandwich lunch will be provided at 12:30.
Speaker's Profile
Jo Baxendale has a strong background in managing arts-led projects in the public realm, particularly as the project manager for regional visual arts organisation, Comissions East. Part of her remit was to facilitate the delivery of a range of projects in the public realm for both the public and private sector, working in the middle ground between the artist and the commissioner. Jo joined the Arts Council in 2009 as Visual Arts Officer.
